Eider Plus is on sale on the web, at eider.app. The iPhone and Android apps don't sell it yet, so if you use Eider on your phone, you get Plus by signing in on the web with the account you use in the app and subscribing there.

Plus adds receipt scanning, receipt search, split by item and bank sync, and everything that's free stays free. Monthly covers you in every nest you're in. Annual covers you too, and everyone in the nests you create can scan receipts and split by item at no cost to them.

A membership belongs to your Eider account, not to a phone or an app store, so the app sees a membership bought on the web without you setting anything up. The step that needs care is signing in: the web has to open the same account your app uses.

  1. 1
Open eider.appIn a browser, on your phone or a computer.
  2. 2
Sign in the way you do in the appCheck that your nests are there before you buy.

How do I get Plus if I use Eider on my phone?

Open eider.app in a browser, on your phone or a computer, and sign in the same way you sign in to the app. Before you buy anything, check that your nests are there. If they are, you're in the right account.

Then open the pricing page, or choose your avatar at the top right and open Plan & billing in your account menu. Pick monthly or annual. The pricing page shows both prices, and the free week and the launch price come with your first membership. You pay on checkout.stripe.com, and Eider then says Plus is on.

If you pick a plan before you've signed in, Eider shows Create your account. You don't need a new one. Choose Sign in, beside "Already have an account?", and you go on to checkout once you're in.

Nothing needs doing in the app. If it's open on a nest you created, Plus turns on there once the purchase goes through. Otherwise, Plus is on the next time you open the app.

To cancel later, do it on the web, from Plan & billing, then Manage membership. Plus stays on until the end of the time you paid for.

Once the web shows your nests, you're in the account your app uses, and Plus bought there shows up in the app on its own.

How do I sign in on the web to the same account as the app?

The web has every way in the app has: Continue with Apple, Continue with Google, a passkey, Use email code, or your email and password. Use the one you use on your phone.

What decides the account is its email address. Continue with Google, Continue with Apple and Use email code each bring an email, sign you in to the account that has it, and make a new account if none does.

If you're not sure how you signed up, open the account menu in the app. Your email is at the top, and Sign-in & security lists Apple or Google under Linked accounts if you sign in with one.

  • Apple: choose Continue with Apple on the web too. If you picked Hide My Email when you signed up, your account's email is an address ending in privaterelay.appleid.com, and Continue with Apple still finds that account. Your own address doesn't, so typing it into Use email code makes a second account.
  • Google: choose Continue with Google, then the same Google account you use in the app, if your browser is signed in to more than one.
  • A passkey: a passkey you saved in the app is saved for eider.app, so your browser can offer it in the email field's suggestions on the sign-in screen, on that phone or anywhere your password manager has it.
  • Email code or password: enter the same email address you use in the app.

The docs page on signing in goes through each one.

What if I see an empty account on the web?

An empty account has no nests. Eider asks you to create your first one, or, after a purchase, offers Set up your first nest. Either way, you're signed in to a different account from the one in your app, and your nests are still in that one.

It happens when the web sign-in brought a different email address from the one on your app account. Hide My Email is the case to check first: the app account is under the address Apple made for it, and signing in on the web with Google or an emailed code under your own address made a new account. Choosing a different Google account does the same.

Don't create a nest or subscribe there. Choose Sign out, at the top right of the screen that asks for your first nest, and sign in again the way that matches the email your app shows. Eider doesn't combine two accounts, and the empty one has no effect on the one you use.

If you already subscribed in the empty account, the membership belongs to that account and won't show up in the app. Plan & billing opens only once an account is set up, so in this one case choose Create nest, then Skip. Then cancel from Plan & billing, then Manage membership, and subscribe again from the right account. Canceled during the free week, it costs nothing.

Once the web shows your nests, you're in the account your app uses, and Plus bought there shows up in the app on its own.
